Apply glue to the rubber sheet

If you are planning to play in sanctioned table tennis tournaments, you should use a water based glue.  There are many options available from your favorite table tennis web site.   Water based glues are only kinds of glue that are approved by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).

Flip the rubber sheet so that it is facing the self-healing cutting mat and apply the selected glue to the back of the rubber sheet.

Don't worry about trying to glue just the area that will cover the blade.   It's better to apply the glue to the entire back surface to ensure that no areas of the rubber are missed.
